Sicilian Snake squash has fruits that can grow to 2 metres in length! Can be grown as a climber or along he ground. Traditionally grown on a wooden frame to allow fruits to hang down. Young lateral shoots may be boiled and eaten with pasta. The fruits can be roasted or boiled and mashed. Can be used to make soups or even Sicilian jam – with lemon rind and 50% sugar.
